Cover Letter Overview
To some hiring managers, the cover letter is the most important part of your application. It is a vehicle to tell a prospective employer who you are, why they should hire you, and how you stand out above all of the other candidates. If you don't have everything a brand is looking for in an intern, a cover letter is the way to let them know what qualities you embody that make you perfect for the position.
Use your cover letter, to show you are a sincere fan of the fashion house/company to which you're applying. But beyond that, you need to also show the company how your skills and talents can be an asset. Companies don't want to read that you want to get a job in public relations, sales, whatever — they want to read that you want to get a job there.
Showing why you identify with a particular brand could make or break your chance at getting an interview.
