In 2007, after interning at various companies during her undergraduate years at UCSD, Carla was inspired to create FreeFashionInternships.com, a platform that opened up the world of fashion internships to anyone who has the desire to intern in the industry.

She went on to build a thriving career in fashion public relations, working with brands such as Chopard, Sotheby's Diamonds, De Beers, Faberge, Naeem Khan, Dennis Basso, Jennifer Fisher, Jonathan Simkhai, among others.

After ten years in the PR and celebrity relations fields, she now focuses on her entrepreneurial endeavors full-time, and is a PR consultant as well as a Professor at LIM College, a top fashion school in NYC. 

She has a Master's in Strategic Communications from Columbia University, and is currently a candidate for a Masters in Management at Harvard University.
